Hi, I’m Carmen.
I’m a photographer based in Amsterdam and the heart behind BeLight Project. The name comes from three words I hold close: be the light. Photography is, after all, writing with light, and that’s what I try to do for every couple I meet: notice the light in you, and keep it.

Good to know.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. I photograph weddings at home and abroad, from city halls to destination celebrations. Travel is quoted based on the location.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have a date and a place. Weekends in high season fill up early, so it’s best to get in touch sooner rather than later.
We’re shy in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Completely. Most of the day is photographed as it happens, and when I do direct it’s light and relaxed. A love story session before the wedding is a nice way to get used to it.
How will we receive our photos?
In a private online gallery, where you can view, download and share your edited images.
